Not as many people have valance sheets these days. I hope I am not the only one who is shocked by this. A large proportion of the population won't know what they are. This is the purpose of this article. This is a real shame because they are still very practical and can help make your bedroom look good.
Valance sheets are often called dust ruffles or bed skirts. They go around the bottom of the bed, i.e. from the floot to the mattress. Do you remember the last time you stayed in a hotel? Perhaps they had one but you didn't notice.
Hotels have them because they are so practical. The dust won't find its way under the bed and that is why they get the dust ruffle name. This means that you don't need to clean under your bed so much, which is great. You can understand why they do this in busy hotels as they want to save as much time as possible. You could benefit from this too.
Not only can you keep your room cleaner, you will be able to keep it looking tidier as well. The bedroom is where we store a lot of our items and it can become cramped. We often put things under our beds in the need of space but that can look ugly. Your
valance sheets can hide your items under your bed. The bedroom will look clutter free.
Putting some valance sheets around the bed will really be felt in the room. All you have to do to give your bedroom some freshing up is change the sheets. It is really easy to change to feel and the appearance of the room…no need to expensive makeovers... just change your sheets!
